Prompt: Write about a conversation that changed you.

I was given an assignment to write a poem for school. To start with, I decided on a topic and made a few notes about it. Next, I arranged my ideas into lines and altered some of the words so that the poem would sound better. At first it was a bit difficult, but I did enjoy seeing it take shape. I was proud of the poem when I had finished it since I had put in a good amount of effort.

Today in class, we filled out a worksheet that analyzed a poem.

I learned how to interpret metaphors visually and through words. I also learned how to better understand poems while reading them.
